You took us from our homeland
discarded our identity
and gave us one you wanted
for our captivity.
Now those days of misery
are down in the past.
You with all your find ideals
why don’t you set my people free at last.
You say we are free,
but still you mock us
for being whom we are.
We suffered from your ancestors
and still hold the scars.
Isn’t it time now
you let us be
and set my people free.
