Set The Sun But Please Not Her Poem by Lorena Lalen Cruz

Set The Sun But Please Not Her

Rating: 5.0

Here in our covert world
The story of you and I was written
We lie on its shimmering surface
Cherishing the limited time that was given

The light is slowly fading
As you lie here on my arms
So fragile and enervated
hoping for His magic and charms

We're watching the waves racing to us
Sharing a sight so tragic and memorable
Feeling the wind that once was soothing
Now a breeze that is something formidable

Then you reached for a letter
And read it for me
Using the last strength in you
Convincing me to see

Our life was planned way before
Everything has its own ending
Immortality does not exist in you
But in our hearts it is existing

Your words were just so powerful
Breaking my heart into pieces
But now tears are not acceptable
There is no place for carelessness

And a mask should be worn properly
For this is our last chance to hear those waves
Shout the memoirs we wrote as one
And those words unspoken in our heart's caves

Few seconds are left before the black and white
The moment of truth, our departure
Though this pain is something I don't understand
I have to endure its unbelievable torture

Then suddenly your hands fell down
and everything just faded
your eyes closed slowly
And things got so complicated

I cried out loud
And hugged you tighter
And asked Him this one last thing
Set the sun but please not her

Oh, but i only heard silence from Him
There was nothing left to do
I know the sun should always set
But why should you go too
