Seven Years Poem by Tex T Sarnie

Seven Years

I guess that we have reached that certain time in life.
It's now seven years since we became man and wife.
We've have tried and failed, more or less from the start.
So, maybe we've now arrived at the time for us to part.

Our goals have changed and there is nothing more we can do,
let's face it, on most things we have different points of view.
We're not the same couple that we were when we wed,
all we ever do now is sleep, when we're together in bed.

We've arrived at this seven year stage and that's the way it is.
There's no excitement, no passion, and we've ran out of fizz.
We don't go out together, we don't see eye to eye socially,
we don't talk anymore, and very seldom do we agree.

When I go out and see other girls I wish that I was with them,
and I suppose you think the same, when you see other men.
I know seven years is a long time, but it's useless to carry on,
and I'm sure that this is the only thing that we can agree upon.
very time you invade my mind
