Severity Of Sorrows Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Severity Of Sorrows

People see.
What they want to believe.
And will accept lies told,
Until they begin to drown.
In a whirlpool spinning,
With their own surrounding...
Warning of sorrows.
To then claim...
The severity of it,
Had not been seriously taken!
And scream they do,
To be rescued...
From their doings to permit.
But...
Who should they expect,
Coming to rush...
To prevent the truth.
A truth disbelieved to accept!
