Shades Of Nothingness Poem by Cory Swygert

Shades Of Nothingness

Darkness arose
Something
Blocked
Descending
Just to rise again
Noting can hold it
It's what i crave
It's what i need
It lives in me
Try as i may
Looming under the skin
Blood
Hungary for blood
Smelling the fear
Sweat beating down
Must not go there, must withdraw
Can't
I will go forth in the night
Go forth and claim my darkness
Under the spell
The taste is sweet
Visions i once had
Coming to light
Going into darkness
It feeds me
So i feed it
With mind and body in tune
I go, never looking back
Into the black
