Shades Of Sun Poem by Archana Prabahar

Shades Of Sun

When night is almost done
In front of my home
Waiting from the dawn
To see the rising sun
Far away from there
With sparkles of light
Everywhere in different shades
Like a fire ball at peace
Slowly emerges from behind the river
Rising up the sky with energy
Increasing the heat as it rises
With more flame, which shrinks
My eyes when I dare to look
At the brightness it sheds
Now people moves to work
Some on the road, some on the shore
Some in the office, some in the forest
Some at home, some in the hot sun
Wandering at places on duty
Till the noon for the lunch break
When dip and dim of light
With more heat shinning well
People with thirst, plants dropping
Down in the hot sun thriving for shadow
The hero in the sky with more energy
Makes everything dry by heat
With solar energy makes life still
Takes the pride of source
Till it bits good bye at sunset
Leaving way for the moon after dusk
For people to rest in peace
With joy till next morning!
