Shadow Poem by Desolate Beauty

Shadow

Outside is cold and dark
Underneath the willow he stands
I shout his name, he will not turn
When I run to the sorrowful tree
He is no longer there, I am chasing shadows

The air is stiff and damp
Beside the pond he stands tossing amber lilies
I whisper his name as if not to scare him
He is no longer there, I am talking to shadows

He beckons me to the door of his hidden world
I walk to the door, he is standing under the willow where she lies
The girl with the crown of amber lilies
He cradles in his arms, sobbing

She is gone forever

He collapses on the flowers that bear her name
Begging for he liveliness
I comfort him as best i can, yet he rejects my caring
I myself am crying for Amber my dearly departed sister

He lashes out shouting at me to leave
He is no longer my sweet, caring, loving, strong brother

All that remains is a Shadow

Truly your poem is a masterpiece! Your use of words was very precise. The words ((Whisper, shouting, ...etc)) drew a picture in fact a dark picture but has a lot of meanings, so imaginative and creative.. Keep up the good work!
