Shame Poem by Savannah Lewis

Shame

Rating: 3.5

The waves crash against the shore
Breaking apart the sand
Don't you now what you're here for?
Don't you have command?
The peace that falls upon the sea
Stretches out beyond the waves reach
All we want is to be free
Isn't that what we always teach?
So why must we live in Vain?
Why must we always strain?
Why is there so much shame
In believing we are all one and the same?
