Soar Poem by Savannah Lewis

Soar

Along the River Green
She Seems
Alone

Staring into the flowing water
Her eyes Gleam
Bright Green

'Never again', she speaks out loud
'Forever again', She whispers
Alone once again

Water rushes down the path
Washing away her sounds
Carrying all her fears
Away

'I will be strong! ' She shouts
Birds fluttering about
Rushing from their quiet perch
Fleeing from the sudden screech
Amongst the treetops, they're free
Soaring amidst the wind and trees

Free from this world of devastation
Free from our implementation
She Fears no more
She is A soaring bird

Walking to where the river runs fast
Water rustling with its path
It drops
A glorious waterfall she see's
She braces herself close
Only momentarily Freed
