Shame Poem by The White Rabbit

Shame

hurting
maybe falling
this lifes dead
the sound of sirens calls
the call of blood
they'll wrap their hand around your wrist
they'll drag you down to deep
the depth of their hearts
so shallow it bleeds
it beats off sync
you tumble and stumble
upon the grass
as life with it's painful wonders
pass
so sweet they think
to live so well alive
so hate full their eyes
to turn your back to those facing you
it's better then slipping away when needed
but dead to them you'll be
the truth is told
lies lay close
you wake to a scream
it's your voice so pericing
the love you thought you had
has found herself in anothers bed
the hope you thought she gave
found himself a home in someone else's home
the love
the true love turns to face shame
the shame Lord Dougles found so lovely
is so lovingly tempting
he sings out now with his voice so soft and tender
your grip slips
and it's his breast you rest on now
when all love fails and shame reigns
the truth has come free
