Shame On Me Poem by GIL SHAHINE

Shame On Me

I can’t look in a mirror
Neither in my dad’s eyes
He was waiting too much from me
Success, positions, family
And all what I gave to him
Is the falling down
What a shame! ! !
Four decades of traveling and dangers
Just to satisfy my needs
I replaced them by
Selfishness and lost
Idiocy and egoism
Shame on me
Sorry dad for being a bad boy
A looser child
I pulled you down
I have never helped you
I disappointed you wildly

Shame on me

The one thing about time is that we still have time to make a amends...is it too late to make him proud. Perhaps start by showing him this heartfelt write. It spills out with honesty and regret...I wish you PEACE

This is such a sad piece. Written from somewhere where feelings lie deep. Nicely put into words.
