Shatter Poem by Karissa Earley

Shatter

Rating: 5.0

Crippled on,
the floor.
Hidden pain,
heart so sore.

Ripping apart my chest,
i start to scream.
As i wake up from,
another nightmarish dream.

Looking through,
my tears.
While headlong,
faceing all my fears.

The same nightmare everynight;
i want to die.
All because of that day,
one last kiss; you said good-bye.

Praying you,
would always stay.
Once again unanswered,
faith fading away.

In my dream, tierd,
of reliving that day.
The broken promise you made,
you said that you'd stay.

To you,
it seems i did not matter.
You took everything,
but a heart left to shatter
