Shattered Poem by sue crocker

Shattered

Rating: 5.0

Glazed my eyes through lack of sleep

Coldness through my veins doth seep

Tiredness does my soul destroy

And tedium now I have employed

Confidence once my best known trait

Now lies in ruins, and leaves bad taste

Soul is searching for comforting words

I am in terror, it seems absurd

Spoken words have filled me with fear

Clouded my world, which was so clear

Dissected my emotions, turned them to dust

My feelings hurt, no-one I can trust

Heartfelt gestures they are no more

I am in ruins, hurt to the core

Bleeding heart, helpless feelings

Does bring me down, and send me reeling

Where are my friends, my guiding hands

Who can my feelings understand

Glazed my eyes I cannot see

The tears they fall, oh woe is me

Your feelings of sadness are felt in the words you have expressed in your write. May you once again find the peace and joy that you are seeking deep within your heart. Scott
