She is born with a silver spoon,
The sky enlightened with the glittering moon,
The sun and the stars are all happy,
To see an angel in a soft coccon.
But there are some souls not so glad,
I pity the narrow mindsets they have had,
For, HE is perhaps what they wanted,
And SHE is the reason why they are sad!
She can't grow and cannot conquer the world,
Is a prejudice that prevails,
Thats when the balance of life derails.
Are her dreams still alive or are they all dead,
One can't really make out from the life she has led.
She still has dreams, she has seen with open eyes...
Which were somewhere buried between the shouts and cries,
They all will be fulfilled at some point of time,
For theres he who is watching, the Lord- the Divine!
She should be respected,
She should be nurtured,
For there is no reason she should suffer,
This is a world equal to all,
Where one have every opportunity to rise and fall,
HE alone cannot run this worldly race,
Without SHE this race won't have any pace,
As with a HE called husband and a SHE called wife,
There eventually evolves a new life.
Wonderfully written, Abhay. Though both men and women have vital roles in life and society, women are still discriminated against on many levels. As a father of four daughters, poems like this touch my heart. Thanks
This is such a beautiful and perfect explanation of how much the world needs a women! A woman does have dreams, yet she puts them on hold to marry and have a family. Not many men ever think about what a woman wants in life, they just assume that she wants to marry and have children. A mother is supportive of her husband and children's dreams, encouraging, giving them hope, helping them in any way possible. What exactly do they do for her to help her attain her dreams? A very thought provoking poem Abhay! Thank you for sharing. RoseAnn
He without She is nothing. She without He is nothing as well, nice poem, this is the nature of us as humans. Thanks for sharing

A beautiful piece of poetry, well articulated and nicely penned with conviction. The essence of love between man and wife well depicted in the poem. I like the rhyme scheme of the piece. Thanks for sharing Abhay. Please read my poem MANDELA - THE IMMORTAL ICON.
