She Is Free Poem by Bettye Hodge Culbreth

She Is Free

Alone at last
No one else to
Consider but herself
She is free
To come and go
When she desires
No babies to care for
No man to cook for
She is free
To eat when she
Is hungry to read
All night long to clean
House at midnight
Play her cd's at 3:15
She is free
To travel anywhere
She wishes,
Even to China
