She Is The World Poem by Vid Jakopin

She Is The World

I tryed,
but nothing I do will open her heart,
nothing I say will find it’s way inside.

So I’m locked here in my room,
this darkness around is choking me,
there’s not enough air and it feels like a tomb.

I face before me this endless wall,
just like with photos, covered with memories of you,
burning so brightly, I see them all.

I know my memories are all I have left.
But I wish for so much more
to cover up these empty spaces,
and mend my heart at the core.

Was the word never ever so frightening?
It still haunts me every day.
For not letting it go,
this pain is the price I have to pay.

I make a list of things I’m gonna do,
to try and keep my mind off of you,
but there’s nothing on this world you can do,
if the world is she and she broke it in two.
