She, My Life Poem by Victor Ansere Afriyie

She, My Life

Rating: 3.0

On the face of the rising sun
Wen i decided to arrive from my dreams
Saw your pretty face
A smile danced upon mine
The lizard nodded life is worth living
The rooster decided to crow it
The song bird sang it
And i decided to live it
because you are in it
Sailed through the mornings task
And in my wallet
I saw the face that made
the sun look fake
the merchant trade
without bargain
For that i received a lifting
To school i flew
Lunch break, canteen open
in the middle of my first spoon
Thought of us watching the moon
How i will like to see you soon
Spoon feed and stare feed you
A tap from behind me
Sweet lips mutter 'miss me? '
The whole city does
Because we have been in darkness
Some light years ago
Wen you left.
