She Supports All Creatures Poem by Francis Duggan

She Supports All Creatures

She supports all creatures from the great to the small
Our amazing Earth Mother the one who feeds us all
Yet it does seem a sad enough thing for to say
That few of us any respect to her pay
With other life forms us humans are reluctant to share
Our Earth Mother suffers for every new millionaire
More trees removed for to build polluting factories more huge holes for mining dug in the ground
Mother Earth made to suffer where human progress abound
What goes around comes around applies to everyone and this includes me and you
What we do to our Earth Mother to our own selves we do
Jobs created to the detriment of the natural environment comes at a huge cost
Due to human industrial progress so much natural beauty has been lost
The Earth feeds all life forms and this includes me and you
And what we do to her to our own selves we do.
