She Was Sitting Happily Poem by Jesus Diaz Llorico

She Was Sitting Happily

'She was sitting happily
at a bench not far from me
her smile so sweet to see
beneath the mango tree

she was well aware
if she let loose her curly hair
and tilt her head to me
I'll be walking in the air

the sun that glides this land
bent my shadows as I stand
for now she understands
as I held her in my hand.'
