Shifting In Wait Poem by Majdoleen (Maggie) Sukayri

Shifting In Wait

I've crossed the seven seas,
I've seen wonders of the world,
I've touched the deepest point on earth,
I've flown between the clouds,
I've witnessed the greatest sins,
I've tasted the grandest pleasures life could bring,
But they mean nothing without you by my side.

I live for the day that'll unite us as one.
Then, I would finally rest my wings.
Although it breaks my heart to be afar,
There's no place in the world that I'd rather be
Than waiting right here for your return

Until I'm shown the meaning of complete
I'll hold on to the memories
Of a time we were together,
Of a time we were strong.
Then I would dream
Of a time we'll return once more.

As this great and Heavenly love gives me the strength
To go through this time apart from you
I shall always await your return.
