Shiva The Nataraja Dance Miles After. Poem by Rimni chakravarty

Shiva The Nataraja Dance Miles After.

Nataraj as He is known to be
Shiva performs with exquisite beauty
His footsteps call the peacock to come out and join
Accompanied by the wind, clouds, rains, His mridanga never refrain
From pausing for a while, as the birds flap and fly
Amidst the turbulent weather with their wet feather
The flowers bloom with their sparkling hew
Spreading their fragrance
They too make their presence
To watch Shiva dance
The entire solar system stupefied in a trance
With awe the sun, the stars, the planets bow down
At the feet of Shankar and put Him the Crown
Of Shiva the Nataraja, who without any attachment
Perform with detachment
Oblivious of the past, present, future Shiva perform
Scattering the stars on the way
Shiva with infinite joy
Chase all worries, inhibitions, lust, greed, jealousy, anger, hatred, laziness, and fear at bay.

With infinite joy Shiva dance hailed as the destroyer
Destroying the dark dispelling the universe flinging the dark afar
Shiva become the creator
With His consort as the Ardhanarishwar
Shiva give birth to infinite joy,
Out of it gushes love
Spread beauty all over
Shiva, theNataraja who isthe great dancer
Dance miles after mile
The astonished universe with awe and trance watch Him all the while.
