Shockingly Unbelievable

[A mother lost her daughter when she was only 2 years old. She didn't want to bury her, instead she made her daughter's corpse into a mummy and a doctor helped her in this regard. It is already 80 years or so old. She is older than many of us here. Her name was Rosalia Lombardo.

The Capuchin Catacombs, referred to as the Museum of Death is located in the city of Palermo on the Italian island of Sicily is known as the most interesting, intriguing and gruesome tourist spots in the world.8000 mummified bodies that date back to the 16th century line the wall of the Catacombs, which is located directly underneath the Capuchin Convent. In 1881 the Catacombs were no longer permitted by law to continue this process of mummification, but in 1920 with special permission from the Italian government Rosalia was the last body to be interred. The doctor responsible for embalming her died before anyone could learn of his methods which amazed everyone because of how well preserved her body is.

It is a fact so shocking to provoke me to write few lines on it. Hope you'll be able to get my reaction from this short poem.]

Good smiles abandoned forever,
on earth for such a short spell
you came to roam and travel
and you left earth with all flavour
of life, so unkind was a fate for
others especially for your mother.

Attracted by the attachment
of simplicity in slumber,
let me jot down here few lines
rippling down my aching spines;
just only two years of being
you had with others still living.

Mom unwilling to leave
while you failed to live,
made her dear to heave alive
free from hassles and strife.
Visiting her mummy child so dear,
her eyes got filled with eternal tears.
