Shook Poem by Kathrine Pierce

Shook

At the seems my life is torn
I pray a new hope will be born
Everything I love is gone
In this tunnel I don’t see dawn
Piece of paper your all I have left
Someone must pay for this great theft.

My inspiration my parents took
More than before my world is shook
be better to fall into the tomb
I don’t want to live this alone.
They took what is a part of me.

For each of us that’s a different things
That makes us indeed oh so keen.
But now my hope is ripped away.
Now on my tear stained pillow I lay,
Forever I wish I could stay.
