I look outside for one last glance,
at the big blue sky with stars so bright,
looking for a dream to come true, I see a shooting star vanish into the moon,
quick make a wish, your dream will come true,
but tell nobody the wish, or the wish will no longer be with you,
Thinking about what I'll wish for, I think about the things that I want,
a bike, a kite, a new pair of shoes, a puppy, a kitten, or even better news,
I'll wish for that sweet old lady,
who lives down the street from dear old Katie,
she wants her cancer to soon disappear,
so I wish upon a star that sweet old lady will live to see another year.
