Short Music Poem by Andrei Sen-Senkov

the father finds out that his six-month-old child
is hard of hearing.

he starts working tenaciously on his son.
all of those endless exercises to develop the hearing.

he gets almost no results.

one of those evenings the father stops
sighs
picks up his child
and places on the turntable an old
john coltrane record.
turns the volume up to the max.
it's the Giant Steps album.

the son freezes.
for the first time in his life he hears
lilliputians stomping their bare feet.
