Show Some A Flowering Garden Poem by Francis Duggan

Show Some A Flowering Garden

As long as you live in a good enough way
Why worry what others of you have to say
Some even would see faults in a living saint
They do not look for good so they only see taint
In ways I pity the famous the very well known
It does seem their personal lives are not their own
For celebratory status the price is big to pay
Show some a flowering garden and they see decay
In saying that some are judgemental I'm not saying anything new
I feel happy I'm not famous and those who know me are few
Lucky in some ways the anonymous one of the town
The knockers can never put him or her down
In ways to be almost unknown is not a bad thing
Fewer to put you down or your praises to sing.
