Showing Of An Interest Poem by Lawrence S. Pertillar

Showing Of An Interest

The best interests to have and express,
Are those interests best kept to yourself.
Some people can be joy killers.
Wanting from you your point of view.
Then make claim to others,
That interest in them you had expressed...
Had not been really an interest.
But an act done,
For no more then to impress.
And don't make suggestions.
Or recommendations others may like too.
Since there are some who will then become,
Indignant, disrespectful and extremely rude.
Just because you had expressed in what they do,
A showing of an interest.
That teaches a lesson when to who to refuse,
Never again...
To mention to them what your interests are in.
Or wasting time,
Saying you like anything done they do.
To have them believe,
Something is wrong with you.
