Si Dios Quiere Honduras Poem by Pasquale DiMeola

Si Dios Quiere Honduras

As democracy cowardly runs backwards
From the lip service of those who indulge in it
So called world leaders of freedom
Who reward dictators to act nice to us
Or dangle aid like carrots of submission
Before oppressed masses struggling to maintain it
The humble citizens of Honduras live it proudly
Upholding their right to dispose of trashy presidents
Trying to subvert the propriety of liberty
Disregarding the fifth column of the cosmos
A resurgence of Mayan audaciousness returned
VIVA HONDURAS!
