Every day another dream
of anything. everything
you imagine it might be
Every night another day
ashes burning down
finally fizzling fading
gently graying out of sight
Sweet moon, her milk light
Sir sun, ram chested, rises
old pals, hell, maybe
swapping a distant hug
a knowing kiss
coming, clockwork daily
usually spilling wee drops
her wine his tea
fighting their melancholy
getting drunk, bold cold sober
They have to don't they?
with their weight of knowing
We can't ever see the light
