Signs Of Solace Poem by Theodore Zendarski

Signs Of Solace

Faithfulness, it sprang to light
Blessed Mother shining bright
Twas an angel softly speaking
As a man He was softly being
In you the Spirit sowed His seed
Our Savior, oh so sweet and silent

But what becomes of my betrothed
Will he cast me out into the road
But by an angel he was also told
Us to accept and love and hold
Charged to raise the Son of God
Come as man on earth, He trod

When the time for birth was here
Myriads of angels, suddenly appear
Memories stored within your heart
That you treasured from the start
Shepherds praising God up on high
Sharing news to those they passed by

Not as expected did He teach
A kingdom here He did not seek
Hear His words that He might teach you
Follow Him because He does love you
And for some His actions gathered them in
But for some, something about Him must be done

Faithful, always standing by His side
Watching sadly as He in agony died
While all of the good in creation cried
Bequeathed to us as our mother dear
You have tried to bend our ear with words that many will not heed
And in disbelief, they will refuse solace
