Silence
How people stand the silence
i will never know
cause to me the silence scares me
for i know im not alone
I hang my head in sarrow
as the silence screams at me
i know the darkened door
is taunting me to see
That the shapes which were inside my dreams
have entered my reality
The scarcity of light
drownds out all the hope
and i pray the world would listen
for the pain in silence eyes
is just too much to bare
and the darkness in his eyes
says theres no hope anywhere
i know they spek no lies
as they whisper in my ear
and through the fear i hear
the silence of the night
Extremely well-written. I can relate to what you saying in this poem. When I was little, my parents would punish me by making me go to my room and close the door. In other words, I had a distaste for isolation. In fact, I was indifferent to any other punishment. Anyway, keep up the good work. You are already quite polished.
I like this poem, it is good; but with a little extra thought it has the potential to be excellent. Irene

...good...there was passion. and silence is not what u should be afraid of...u can always make noise with something. and what are they not telling lies about?
