Silence Poem by Declan McBride

Silence

I lie silently on my bed
A large blue Quilt
Engolfes my body

Not a sound just my mind
tinkering away
showing me messed up images
all night long

until a large sound or shaking
awakens me
I know that I have to go
Enjoy the new day
New opportunities

Until tonight when it will all happen
Again
