Silence Poem by Salihu Mahe

Silence

Silence
Presence of thoughts
Avenue of plans
A sacred shrine
Enshrined with peace
Faraway from
Bad lands
And troubles of life
A realm of my own

An ideal place
To find yourself
Your essence
In silence
Faraway from
Interference
And imprudent influence
In silence

Silence
Stage of self reliance
In company of your soul
Befriended by thoughts
Surrounded by ideas
A place of unclouded judgements

Silence
The yang of solitude
Arena for pens
To pen divine lines
In presence
Of absence
Of interference
In silence

Silence
Palace of comtemplation
Cushions for meditation
A metaphysical station
For the train of thoughts
To journey towards
Self exploration

Silence
Sound of nothingness
In a soundless moment
By a tranquil lake
Ensconced
Sided by motion free trees
In mid fall, their leaves fall
In silence

In this transcending ephemeral
Of surreal convenience
I wish to dwell forever
In the utopia of
Silence
