POET'S NOTES ABOUT THE POEM
Dedicated to my mother who was a victim of domestic violence for many years. No matter the pain, she always seemed to muster up a smile for her kids.

tears, closed doors, shedding it all alone........ all add to the seriousness of this poem. thank you dear poet. your love for your mother who suffered silently is a saint.
