Silent Love Poem by Mary Njambieh

Silent Love

I silently love you
and beg my heart not to suffer
for there are no words
neither is there the courage
to declare my love for you.

I silently watch
as you engross others with your love
laying your heart bare for them
though i control myself
so as not to complain.

I silently cry
whenever i think of you
and the love that never blossomed
but still the silent love eats me up
tearing my heart to pieces.

I silently dream
that my dying heart is healed
from this oppresive love
as nothing is condusive
neither are you emotive.
