Silent Ringtone Poem by Julie Neises

Silent Ringtone

Rating: 5.0

Don't be surprised
if I don't answer the phone.
I would much rather
just sit here alone.
I'm sick of your judgement
and your selfish ways.
I hate that you vent to me
on ALL your 'bad' days.
I'm repulsed when you binge
and don't gain a pound.
I wish you'd reflect
the countless bigmacs you've downed.
You have no respect
for personal space.
I just don't have the courage
to tell you to get out of my face.
It's not my fault
if you're stuck home alone.
Hey don't blame me.
Blame my silent ringtone.

It's good to vent, even if it is to yourself... lovely use of words and rhythm to show the venom, i could see your smirk at the end. Keep on keeping on 8)
