Silent Thoughts Poem by Ray Springer

Silent Thoughts

Where to begin, ... the start i guess
My heart and head, world war III, constant distress
Explanations fluster all at once, to pick one i am dared
Attempting the difficultly possible, this once, eyes narrowed, guns holstered, i'm spared
Be Mine. two words one meaning strong and potent
Be Mine. two words that could erupt such feeling its anything but cogent
Be Mine. two words softly spoken with swiftest effect deemed me selectively mute
Be Mine. two words with catastrophic precision this feeling i have now acute
Be Mine. you ask so directly under the cover of the shadows
Be Mine. heart pounding in a daze the words reverberates, sling shots and land on me like arrows
Silence........................... louder than sound
My mind blank body frozen totally compound
Unexplained emotions rise with an overwhelming clemency
Forcing me to ask questions that present themselves now so recklessly
What do i feel? Sunshine sprays through me wen we're close
What do i feel? Heated intensity unexplored fantasies butterfly filled..... i'm exposed
What do i feel? Panic that i will be hurt
What do i feel? Fear that i'm not all that he thinks i'm worth
What do i feel? Happy whenever he is around
What do i feel? Confused as to why this title has me so dumbfound
Take your time don't over think it my inner voices say
Allow spontaneity to kick in, relax and have fun but keep your negativity at bay
I know you will ask the hows, the whys, the maybes, the ifs, the buts, the whens
But i can't predict oh baby every turn, every cross every bend
My emotions run wild with every rapaciously tongued kiss leaving my mind scrambled and amiss this i know
Don't you feel it? Isn't it present? Doesn't it show? My elation to be in your presence, my outwardly glow?
With hopes that clarification succeeded to which i once conceded on that day we remember in that text
The one last thing deeply seeded to which my patience exceeded is.....that 'whatever' you said last night got me vex! ! !
