Silly-String Theory (Blessed Or Cursed) Poem by Joe Fraccalvieri

Silly-String Theory (Blessed Or Cursed)

Rating: 5.0

How do you weigh a thought?
How can you see a dream? ...
And if I yell at the top of my lungs in my mind,
how the hell will you hear me scream?

Mass and Force… Matter and Energy…
Water, Ice, and Steam…
Things, of course, if you look for their source,
are never as they may seem

Rhymes are nursed… So which came first--
the chicken, or the egg?
Here's a trick: Try to kick,
without the use of a leg!

Could God make a boulder that He cannot lift?
The answer, my friend is vague
Adam and Eve died of thirst--
Thirst for knowledge-- starting a plague…
Making humanity burst

Didn't they teach you in school…
The tale of the Golden Rule? ...
The first shall be last, and the last shall be first
and all that is here, and all that you've learned,
has been carefully rehearsed!

And all you can do, at the end of the day,
after work-- after play--
when the world seems so reversed,
is wonder if you're blessed…

And pray you're not cursed!
