Simple Words Poem by Anthony Domine

Simple Words

When I see you,
My breath flies away.
Seeing your smile,
Brightens my day.

When you look in my eyes,
You can see to the core.
Warming this cold heart,
Into feeling much more.

Your aura trumps all,
Defining perfection.
Words can't describe,
My truest affection.

When trying to speak plainly,
My tongue seems to get tied-
Turning words to jumbled phrases,
Whilst getting lost in your eyes.

Everything I say,
Comes out mumbled.
Trying to stay calm,
Knowing I've fumbled.

It always been you,
The one I adore.
You mean the world to me,
And so much more.

My heart is yours,
For the taking.
Thinking of you,
And silently waiting.
