Simplicity Of Modern Haiku Poem by Joyce Hemsley

Simplicity Of Modern Haiku

Many a pretty poem I have written
with flowery words and explanations
but on reflection ~ yes, it is true
the words could be condensed into
'simple haiku'...
three lines of rhyme or non-rhyme.
subject matter, anything goes!
A most popular theme is 'the rose'.

In warm sunny air
blooms a sweet rose of Tralee
so lovely and fair.

One of life's miracles...
just seventeen syllables.
