Simply Poetry Poem by Kesaobaka Abednego Mogwase

Simply Poetry

My soul has been deeply immersed into the depths of poetry
And I went osmosis and soaked up its elements like a sponge in water
Metaphors, similes, rhymes and oxymoron’s……………..
They all run hot and torrid in my veins and arteries
Burning me up with desire

Poetry is about the word itself
But it doesn't matter whether the words are small or simple
For simplicity is the best sophistication
And it don’t matter whether the words are so humongous they make you scratch your head but still make you say
Damn that’s dope
My friend poetry is about the penetration of the heart
And the activation of the brain
So it don’t matter whether the words are big or small
So long as they are poetic

And that my friend is……
Simply poetry
