Since I Met You.. Poem by Tiya Sen

Since sometime now I feel I have lost my way,
No light to save me from going astray.
For the first time I don’t know,
Where it was I had set out to go.
Consumed with hurt and anguish,
I let my judgement get tarnished.
Kept on waltzing with lies and deceit,
Turning my eyes from all the right exits.
Until when my eyes could no longer be shut,
As it din’t feel good to be stuck in a rut.
But what I can’t seem to figure out is,
If I reached the end or is there another way out of this.
It’s been quiet sometime since I been waiting,
For my head to rescue my heart from sinking.
There has been many unsuccessful attempts, I agree,
But each time these unwelcome emotions sneak up on me.
And after the strongest fight my will gives in,
Handing over my heart yet another win.
Wonder what it is that I need to do,
To get back to the road that I left since I met you.
