Since you've left
I've been to many funerals
All of them I was close to
Cousin's, grandma, friends, family
Each time I went
I felt no sorrow
No pain in their loss
No tears shed
Nothing
Every time I thought
About my loss of you
I would feel
Terrible agonizing pain
Tears would flow
Like a river
I would drown sorrow
Near the point of suicide
Insanity
Cutting myself of from the rest of the world
Emptiness
Anger from hurting you
Wanting to give up
And do nothing at all
Quit my job
And sit in silence
Starting blankly at a wall
Watching the ghost
Of what we had
Slip away
Slip away
