Sincere Joy Poem by Nikiesha Richards

Sincere Joy

Morning time the start of a new day
A given chance to see things in a new way
No more tears to stain my face
All sadness is gone without a trace

You really thought you had me down
But I am still queen who wears the crown
When you refused someone chose me
The thought of them makes me happy

I smile now, whenever I think of you
And laugh at what you have put me through
I’m sure you felt right doing me wrong
I didn’t survive being weak, it was being strong

Something in my heart is strange
The feeling within me change
Like a child who has a new toy
I have the strong sense of joy
