Sine Qua Non Poem by Paul Hartal

Sine Qua Non

"Love is not really a choice, " she said.
"We cannot live without love."

"Why? You cannot live without a man? " he asked.

"No, I cannot", she said. "For, a loveless existence,
a life alone is a life of gloom, despair
and destruction."
