Singing A New Song
I will never sing those songs again,
Songs of sadness and melancholy.
You’ll never hear me sing again,
Songs of despair, unrequited love, and broken dreams.
I will never sing those songs again,
With lyrics calling for attention or approval.
Now, I’ll be singing jovial songs,
Songs of hope, songs of self respect,
Songs of true love and songs of freedom.
