Sister's Wedding Poem by George Ahaneku

Sister's Wedding

Distance and time may hide my face
But love and passion will procure grace
Arise early prepare for this is ur Day
No rain just sun & it will remain that way
With a countenance fair & eyes bright
Gaze beyond here towards the fiery light
Ponder only good thoughts no damages no loss
Eat meat drink wine for ur teeth i'll get floss
Forget the past its a new beginning
God hath said so and for this reason
That ur soul & body should serve Him
So Ur life & purpose shall have a meaning
Now in good writing, write these out
On a new plain sheet to evry1 read it out
I may not be but my heart is here
The contents of my inner being I bare
De mummy, hey Daddy, Dede are u there
Solo, Dante, Peace & Esther look here
Adanne today is ur day so no mood swings
Just merriment, wine & chicken wings
Oh! Henry hope u made a good choice of ring
Cos I'll punch u in the face if its not a fine ring
From this part of the Country this is what I say....
HAPPY MARRIED LIFE to U on this Special Day....
