Sitting high on a mountain side,
I gazed at the coming sun.
I watched the ravens start to glide,
With the new day just begun.
I felt a mystic wonder, sitting there alone,
And felt a sense of awe.
As the sun over the desert shone,
And saw in nature, not a single flaw.
The snow capped mountains to the west,
The wind moaning down the draw.
I felt my heart thunder in my chest,
And I felt tiny, like a wind blown straw.
I saw God's hand, in everything,
The land, the sky, the wind.
And at the majesty my heart did sing,
And longed for what was left unseen.
