I think that it might take a chorus of Doves cooing
.....Perhaps to get your attention-
Perched neatly upon this earthen land near some water
.....Hopefully with not too many questions;
I know that it has been ever so long -
.....Since last we viewed one another's eyes
Hours of wishful dreams - alas, never to be
.....Oh, how time does indeed fly! ;
I wished you & your girl well that fateful night
.....Even though, i really wanted to be in her place-
It still amazes me - to this day-
How clearly, i still remember your face;
So, I believe that it might take a chorus of Doves cooing
.....Or perhaps, just a quiet sail upon a far away lake
With a time spent in a reunion of remembering-
.....With a zillion more memories to make;

I would like to translate this poem
Women do dream about what might have been with that first-love.... I would I think have lived quite happily with that cowboy turned teacher and high school coach and would have so proudly had that boy of his before he died so so young of leukemia.... oh, look at what memory trail your poem has led me! ! ! Thank you and your sweet tender heart for leading your readers back in time.
Thank you sweet Susan! ! ! Have really missed you, here. You know how much i value your reviews...am so glad that i could take you back....gotta love the warm and fuzzy of young first love; Even though, very young, it was love...probably the deepest love of my life...but we grow and move on...and find love once again...perhaps not the same as first but none the less love...and if we don't get it right the first time - there are 2nd chances-thank God for them - for i found a truly deep and abiding love that i would not change for the world.
