Skiing Poem by Eric Labrecque

Skiing

Rating: 4.5

The ill twinging of chills leading to thrill,
spreading through my icy bones on the hill.
Mucus will freeze with immaculate ease,
all thanks to Sir Winters deathly cool breeze.
Feeling my lifeline winding to an end;
home to my girlfriend the letters I'll send.
"Click" "Click" as I pop into my bindings;
appreciating God for the blessing
to shred waist deep powder, in search of hope,
that nearby futures hold a sacred slope.
To soar down mountains at the speed of light.
To fly throughout turns like a bird mid-flight.
All of heavens wonders we would do most,
if school would let us part -our command post.
